Ozeconferences

AARNet has established regular video conference information/sessions aimed at encouraging the use of video technology by testing/demonstrating equipment and applications, and discussing a broad range of ICT, Network, Applications and Service issues and developments. Discussion and questions are encouraged.

OzeConferences allow guest speakers to feature a topic of interest to the Australian research and education sector and present this online, giving an interactive opportunity for discussion and questions. The OzeConference format has been expanded to cover a wider range of topics and greater window for pre & post testing of participant’s equipment.

AARNet Ozeconference

AARNet OzeConferences are web streamed live as well as recorded for later playback.
The diverse range of topics and enhanced management of the OzeConference experience has led to greater participation across the Research and Education sector.

NEW FEATURES FOR OZECONFERENCES

  • Better data collection via an online survey form when registering for a conference allows us to proactively test new end-point capabilities and ensures that web-streaming viewer browsers are capable of receiving the OzeConference.
  • Better control of end-point tests by a new “front door” entry holding slide to allow operators to check participant’s audio and video before joining. This proactively avoids any noise distraction especially by late attendees.
  • Inclusion of an instant messaging communication back channel chat capabilities from the AARNet website to provide a new dimension in technical support.
  • A wider range of topics
