AARNet Announces Appointment of New Chief Executive Officer

The AARNet Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben White as the organisation’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Ben will formally commence in the role on 7 July 2025, following the retirement of current CEO Chris Hancock AM, who will remain in the position until 1 July 2025.

“We are delighted to welcome Ben White as incoming CEO. He brings extensive experience in the telecommunications industry to the role, and we look forward to working with him to lead the next chapter for AARNet,” said AARNet Board Chair Professor Emeritus Ian O’Connor AC.

The AARNet Board thanks Chris Hancock AM for his outstanding leadership and will provide further updates closer to the transition.
