The In the Field blog is a global collaboration between national research and education network (NREN) Marketing Communications and Public Relations teams, led by AARNet (Australia’s NREN), to provide a resource that showcases how NREN technologies are used, and the value and impact of NRENs globally.
The blog launched in 2015 and we recently took feedback on board to evolve the site to meet broader needs of the global NREN community. This collegiate community encompasses NRENs at various stages of development, from emerging to well-established, in more than 120 countries across six continents.
Home page: redesigned to encourage visitors to explore more of the content on the site that is relevant to them.
This page features NREN value proposition content and links to external resources, including Case for NRENs and GNA sites.
This page allows visitors to explore content via featured topics, provides links to relevant other external resources and features a map that highlights all countries with operational NRENs (information sourced from GÉANT Compendium).
In the Field editorial team: Jane Gifford (AARNet); Helga Spitaler (GÉANT); Audrey Gerber (IUCC); Arne Vollertsen (NORDUnet)
